Renovo is a Wilmington company built around a simple advantage: the people evaluating the property understand the work that comes after the purchase. Since 2012, we have bought, renovated, built, and found new uses for property across southeastern North Carolina.
Why the builder side matters
We are not scared off by the part that needs work.
Most owners already know what is difficult about their property. It may be the dated interior, the long repair list, the overgrown lot, the odd floor plan, or the building nobody in the family has time to figure out.
That is useful information to us—not something you need to hide or fix first. We look at what is there, what it would take to improve it, and whether we are the right buyer to carry that plan through.
Sometimes the answer is a straightforward renovation. Sometimes it is new construction or a more useful purpose for an older building. And sometimes the honest answer is that Renovo is not the fit. Either way, we would rather give you a clear answer than a sales pitch.

The people behind Renovo
Jerry Stevens and Patrick Giarelli
Jerry leads Renovo’s acquisition, finance, renovation, and day-to-day operating work. Patrick brings local real estate experience and market knowledge to the property conversation. Together, the goal is uncomplicated: understand the property, speak plainly about the fit, and do what we say we will do.
You do not have to arrive with a perfect file. An address and the real story are usually enough to begin.
Patrick Giarelli is a licensed North Carolina real estate broker affiliated with BlueCoast Realty. Renovo Homes purchases properties as a principal. Any brokerage services, when applicable, are separately disclosed.
